Task Array Format: LLL-LL-LN-L-N-Lwww
Standardized and structured format for tasks within SEAMS) at Urban Array, we are introducing a hierarchical system called the Universal Task Array.
This system is designed to unify and standardize task definitions across various projects and roles, facilitating better data uniformity for machine learning applications and streamlined project management. Here's a detailed explanation of the Task Array format:
Task Array Format: LLL-LL-LN-L-N-Lwww
1. Guild (LLL):
Description: This represents the highest category of work, encapsulating a broad area of expertise or a community of practice.
Format: Three letters (e.g., ENG for Engineering, AGR for Agriculture).
2. Division (LL):
Description: Subcategory within a guild, specifying a more defined area of focus or specialization.
Format: Two letters (e.g., CV for Civil, ME for Mechanical in the Engineering guild).
3. Role (LN):
Description: Specific role within a division, indicating the type of work or specialization.
Format: One letter and one number, in that order this is just a code, not a level. Can be anything as long as the (e.g., E1 for Engineer Level 1, T2 for Technician Level 2). Not a level indicator, that is the next step
4. Level (L-N):
Description: The proficiency or seniority level of the role, useful for aligning tasks with appropriate competency requirements.
Format: One letter, followed by a number (e.g., L-1, L-2). The letter typically stands for 'Level', and the number denotes the degree of expertise or responsibility. Will be in order of expertise āA-Dā A being the least experienced(jr) D, being a leadership role. The number will represent 7 task groups for that level in order of difficulting.7 being the most advanced for that roles level Specific competencies required for each level, ordered by relevance or necessity for task execution., this is where tasks will then fall, next
5. Task ID (Lwww):
Description: A unique identifier for each task, facilitating easy reference and data management.
Format: One letter followed to identify we are in a task, do not use (t) by three alphanumeric characters (e.g., T001 for Task 001, T210 for Task 210). [instructions to AI= (here create a numbering system that can help group tasks]
Documentation Use
This standardized coding system ensures that each task is clearly defined and categorized, making it easier to manage, track, and analyze tasks across different projects and roles within SEAMS. By using this hierarchy:
Machine Learning Readiness: Data is uniformly structured, enhancing the effectiveness of machine learning algorithms in predicting outcomes, optimizing resource allocation, or personalizing role assignments based on past performance and competencies.
Enhanced Collaboration: Teams can easily understand and integrate tasks across different guilds and divisions due to the standardized format.
Task Management Efficiency: Project managers can more effectively assign and track tasks tailored to the specific competencies and levels required, streamlining the project management process.
